ÇELİK
TEKNE...TURKEY'S PRIDE IN INTERNATIONAL WATERS
M/V YÜKSEL GÜLER,
one of the largest container vessels built in Turkey,
by ÇELİK TEKNE San. ve Tic. A.Ş. for PİNAT A.Ş.,
was launched in a ceremony at the ÇELİK TEKNE
shipyard in Tuzla on 6 March 1999. Serving the
Turkish shipbuilding industry since 1972 as a member
of the Galatasaray Holding. ÇELİK TEKNE offers
services for the building and maintenance of any
type of vessel. ÇELİK TEKNE has an annual steel
processing capacity of 20.000 tonnes. With a lifting
capacity of 500 tonnes, the company can undertake
the building of three ships a year. Having entered
into a cooperation agreement with the BAZAN shipyard,
which is a leading manufacturer of frigates,
submarines, aircraft carriers and minesweepers, ÇELİK
TEKNE decided to participate in public bids of the
Turkish Navy Defense Industry and build the required
ships locally. ÇELİK TEKNE is proud of flying the
Turkish flag in international waters.
