M/T COSMO
HAS THE CHARACTERISTIC OF CARRYING 12 DIFFERENT CARGOES
5500DWT Chemical tanker
"W/T COSMO", which is being built at Celik Tekne
Shipyard for the Italian company called Mediterranea Di
Navigazone, was Launched on 31/08/2002; by a splendid
ceremony.
The cehemical tanker M/T
COSMO , which is fitted with the latest technological
innovations, has 100 m. Leigh, 17 m. breadth and has a
cruising speed of 14 knots. Also the vessel will carry oil
products and special chemicals.
The vessel has tje
characteristic of carrying 12 different cargoes and also
having the "Clean Sea" and "Clean Air"
Class notations, which are the first applications feature
in the Turkish Shipbuilding Industry.
At the launching ceremony,
which was participated by selected Turkish and Italian
guests, Yapi Kredi Bank general manager Naci Sığın
declared his gladness of being assistant for the
production of vessel.
The most interesting
moment of launching ceremony, which was also participated
by the board chairman of Mediterranea di Navigazone Mr.
Paola Cagnoni and board chairman of Celik Tekne San.ve
Tic.A.S. Mr. Ali Zihni Feyzioglu, was; the cutting of the
tape by one year old little Cosmo with his mother
Baracetti Peretti.
